Description:
For 2026, Janette Reynolds boldly revisits the subject of 9/11 with an enlightened perspective recognizing both the scars, and the rewards that time imparts. What began with the original book in 2001 comes full circle with this 25-year anniversary edition as the author explores the crushing yet pivotal effects of trauma — and the deeper questions about life that profound disruptions can awaken.
Part memoir, and personal reflection — the candid, unguarded insights within these pages will captivate even the most casual reader. The book features 9 stunning, unforgettable interviews with powerful backstories of how lives were guided and transformed preceding 9/11, and in the aftermath of one of the most triggering events in U.S. and global history. Dramatic. Compelling. Raw. These stories aren’t meant to advance an agenda — they simply are. Profiles include actor Gary Sinise who played Lieutenant Dan in Forrest Gump, Carter Conlon from the renowned Times Square Church, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Alveda King — also featured are 2 survivors from above the impact zone in the South Tower, and a blind survivor who escaped the North Tower. Includes historical foreword written by Donald J. Trump, well-researched historical notes, contributor bio’s, a summary at the beginning of each story as a snapshot of themes explored, archival images — and Biblical references with demystifying, relatable commentary tailored for readers of all levels and spiritual backgrounds.

About the Author:
Janette Reynolds is a startup entrepreneur and author with over 20 years of experience at the intersection of storytelling and innovation. Her life unexpectedly changed after a visit to Ground Zero shortly after 9/11, sparking a profound spiritual awakening. For the past two decades her research has centered on the study of trauma and spiritual understanding — tracing the forces that shape the reality of good versus evil — and the cultural effects of living separated from faith in a world shaped by secular thinking. Her work has also included how traumatic events can become a catalyst for growth by shifting our focus from life in this world to what lies beyond. She has authored multiple Bible studies, expository guides, a body of corporate and executive publications, and the best-selling book, Where Were You On 9/11? with a foreword by Donald J. Trump in 2002.
